About Children's Council. Since 1973, Children's Council has been striving to make high-quality, affordable child care a reality for all San Francisco families.
We connect families to subsidized child care and provide free child care resources and referrals for parents. We offer workshops and supportive services for child care providers who are licensed, seeking licensure, or are license-exempt. In addition, we raise public awareness about the necessity of child- and family-friendly policies.
In all of these ways, Children's Council helps children grow, families work and San Francisco prosper.
