About Children's Council. Children’s Council of San Francisco is at the heart of the child care community — connecting families to care that meets their needs, while working with child care providers and community partners to make quality child care and early education a reality for all children in our city.

Our counselors provide parents with free child care referrals and other family resources. And we connect eligible families to subsidized care. We also offer professional development workshops and consultation for child care providers who are licensed, seeking a license, or are license-exempt.

In addition to these services, we partner with other community organizations to raise awareness of child- and family-friendly policies. In all of these ways, Children's Council helps children grow, families work and San Francisco prosper.
